Bourne’s requirements were to package flat linen such as sheets and towels for hotel rental. The packs had to be fully enclosed in a low cost polyethylene film. Two fully automatic lines (one for sheets the other for a range of towel sizes) were installed to handle random height pack sizes at 700-800 packs per hour.
